THE WEBEAZ GUIDE · NO JARGON

The web,
made simple.

Building a website is one thing. Understanding how it works over time is even better. Here are the essentials to launch, manage and grow your online presence.

Let’s start with the basics ↓︎
TODAY’S LESSON01 / 03
A website is like a home.

The domain
is the address.

For example: my-business.ch.
The name your clients remember to find you.

An illustrated teacher explains web basics with a pointerNo surprise tests. Promise.
01 / YOUR PLACE ONLINE

“But I already have
Instagram…”

Social networks are shop windows on a platform that sets the rules. Your website is your own space. They work well together.

↗︎

Visibility

An address you can share anywhere, pages that can appear on Google, and a presence that doesn’t depend only on social media algorithms.

24/7

Availability

Your services, answers and contact form stay available even when you’re busy. Visitors can explore at their own pace.

✓︎

Credibility

A well-crafted website helps potential clients understand who you are, what you offer and why they can trust you.

✳︎

Freedom

Your colours, your words, your structure. You choose how to present your business, without the layout restrictions of a social network.

02 / THE FOUNDATIONS

Your website is ready.
What’s next?

Three things to know. Think of an address, a piece of land and regular upkeep.

01
THE ADDRESS

The domain name

It’s the name people type to find you, like my-business.ch. It usually renews each year so it stays yours.

Good to know

The domain is separate from the website and its hosting. Its price depends in part on the extension you choose.

02
THE LAND

Hosting

This is where your pages, images and content are stored. The server makes them accessible to visitors on the internet.

At WebEaz

The first year is included. Then Website Care costs CHF 365/year, or CHF 500/year with AllyB. Hosting and maintenance are included.

03
THE UPKEEP

Maintenance

Updates, backups and security checks reduce risks and help us respond if something goes wrong. Your website continues to receive care after delivery.

What you’re paying for

Regular work and a contact person who knows your website. Creating new pages is a separate service.
